Hello all!! I decided to start our family blog since so much has changed in our life in the past 3 years. I hope to update the blog weekly to keep every one in the loop with what is going on in our life.
Here is a run down of the past 3 years. Jonathan and I reconnected and recommitted ourselves to each other. We had Cade when we were young and things just didn't work out for us back then. Both of us were at a point in our lives that we were willing to give us another shot. So that is what we did. We finally got married on June 12, 2017.
Since we have been back together we got pregnant with our second child, Jace, and he was born in October 2016. He is one wild child. He loves to climb, loves to play, and is just such a happy little guy. He has completed our family and his personality fits that perfectly.
Cade is now 10 years old, in the 4th grade, and growing up before our eyes. He is so smart and such a fantastic big brother. He makes us extremely proud and we couldn't have asked for a better kid. He is still playing soccer, but he now plays for a club team in Huntsville. He loves to read anything about sports, history, or comics and wants to be outside all the time.
Jonathan has had a lot happen, too. In 2015 Brown and Brown Accountants became affiliated with H&R Block. It has had its ups and downs but it was a good move to make to help grow the family business in our small town. In 2017 he had to step up and take on a tax season we were not prepared for. His grandfather passed away and Jonathan had to take on the majority of his clients. Before that tax season Jonathan took appointments but not many. He did the behind the scenes management, did tax returns that were dropped off, and much more. It was a tough season but he made it through. In the last 6 months they have bought the building they have been renting for the past 30 plus years and remodeled the inside. He is now gearing up for another busy tax season.
As for me, I quit my job at the physical therapy clinic a couple of months after I found out I was pregnant with Jace. Jonathan and I knew that I needed to be at home to raise our kids. I absolutely love being at home with my kids and being able to run and do anything I need to whenever I need to. Some days are hard with a 1 year old and a 10 year old but I cherish each moment with them. I do love being able to not wear make up every day and love wearing my leggings and t-shirts every day. It is all about comfort. I have been working out with a group of women at our rec center 3 days a week and I enjoy it. It is so nice to go in there and be pushed to work out, compare all of our mom stories, and just have fun. Other than that I am just your typical every day mom and wife.
Our journey to becoming a family again has been crazy and not typical but it is absolutely beautiful. I hope you all enjoy reading about our journey.
