Growing up

This past week has been a big week for our littlest one. He FINALLY started walking. This new found freedom he has discovered is so exciting to him (and to us). He is the cutest little walker, too. He "monster" walks with his hands up like he is coming after you. As he is getting more stable, his arms are starting to drop to his sides. All this walking is causing him to go to bed earlier. That is nice for this momma as he is wearing me out.

Cade had a little incident at school this week, too. He was in the restroom washing his hands and a classmate of his came in a put him in a head lock. I think the child was playing around and just rough housing but he ended up shoving Cade in to the bathroom door and took a chunk of skin out of Cade's back. Cade didn't want to tattle so he did not tell anyone he had been hurt and was bleeding. When I picked him up from school I could tell something was wrong and that is when he showed me his back and told me what happened. I took a picture of his back and sent it to his teacher just to notify him of the incident. I wasn't putting Cade completely innocent as he is a child and a boy and loves to rough house with his friends. His teacher notified the principal and the next morning the situation was handled. His back is healing but was sore for a couple of days.

As each week passes tax season is getting busier and busier. I am so proud of Jonathan for all of his hard work and dedication even though he doesn't want to do tax returns long term. He has bigger goals and dreams.

My Granny is giving us quite the scare this week. She is really out of it, her blood levels are fluctuating, and her sodium levels are quite low. Currently she is in the hospital getting checked out to make sure she can go back home and be ok there.

As for me, I have been very busy. Between chasing a toddler, trying to gather and tag things for consignment, help Cade with his school project, keep a house clean and dinners made, and just surviving, there is not much down time right now. It's like the say...the days are long but the years are short. My time at home with my kids and husband is something I cherish so very much.

Here is to looking forward to a busy week and soccer gearing up for my big one!
